Contributing Author: Erica Baller, MD, MS

Overview: This session highlights the neuroanatomical correlates of psychiatric symptoms, and provides a way of thinking about localizing psychiatric “lesions” so that we can provide more appropriate treatment and better psychoeducation to our patients. In addition, this session highlights how organic brain diseases may present with psychiatric symptoms. Being able to recognize an underlying organic syndrome can greatly impact our treatment recommendations
